Valahia University of Târgoviște had the honour of hosting the inaugural Colloquium of Doctoral Students in KreativEU Programmes, which took place from 19 to 21 November 2025. This event was organised in collaboration with the University of Greifswald and the nine other higher education institutions of the KreativEU Alliance, under the framework of Work Package 2 – Education of KreativEU Alliance of Universities, and was co-funded by the European Union.

The colloquium convened doctoral candidates from across the alliance, offering a refined platform for the exchange of scholarly ideas, the presentation of research, and participation in thematic workshops designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthen the educational dimension of the KreativEU Doctoral Programmes.

Held also under the auspices of the UNESCO UNITWIN Network “Heritage Preservation, Science, Communication for Sustainable Communities” and the “Grigore Gafencu” Research Center for the History of International Relations and Cultural Heritage, the event underscored its alignment with global priorities in eco-cultural heritage, sustainability, and community involvement.

The programme featured keynote addresses of distinction, parallel research sessions of intellectual rigour, and roundtable discussions that encouraged dialogue among doctoral scholars, eminent academics, and representatives of KreativEU partner institutions. Networking engagements further enriched the experience, reinforcing the spirit of international cooperation.

This colloquium marked a significant milestone in the evolution of the KreativEU Alliance’s doctoral ecosystem, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in education, innovation, and global collaboration.
